FAQs
1. What is your stained glass art made of?
All our pieces are meticulously handcrafted using authentic stained glass. We use the traditional copper-foil method (often known as the Tiffany method). This involves hand-cutting the colored glass, grinding the edges, wrapping each piece in copper foil, and expertly soldering them together. They are then finished with a beautiful patina and hung with sturdy chains or ribbons.
2. Is stained glass fragile/safe?
Because our pieces are made of real glass, they are fragile and should be handled with care to prevent dropping or shattering. Also, as is standard with traditional stained glass creation, the solder used to bind the glass together contains small amounts of lead. While perfectly safe for display in your home, we recommend washing your hands after handling the piece and keeping them out of reach of small children and pets.
3. What if I have a problem with my stained glass piece?
We take great pride in our craftsmanship and want you to love your art! If your item arrives with any manufacturing defects or issues with the soldering, please contact our support team at support@cozyglassart.comwith details and photos. We will review the issue and arrange for a repair or a replacement.(Note: Because glass is fragile, we cannot cover items that have been dropped or mishandled after delivery).
4. Where do you ship to?
We ship WORLDWIDE! We use specialized, secure packaging methods to ensure our fragile glass art can travel safely across the globe to any country.
5. How long does it take for my order to arrive?
From your date of order, we like to allow up to 14 days for the delivery to arrive at your door, though it is often quicker. Because every single stained glass piece is hand-cut and soldered to order, production time is usually 3-5 working days. Shipping is usually an additional 5-7 business days.
Once your order is with our couriers (DHL, FedEx, UPS, etc.), we will send you a full tracking number via email so you can keep track of where your new art piece is.
6. What happens if my stained glass doesn't arrive or arrives broken?
Our shipping partners use a fully tracked and insured courier service, and we package our glass very securely. However, we know accidents in transit can happen.
If your package is lost, or if you open your box and find that the glass has been cracked or broken during shipping, please reach out immediately via email at support@cozyglassart.com with photos of the damage and the box. Our team will liaise with the courier and arrange for a brand-new piece to be made and sent to you ASAP, free of charge.
7. I've been charged import fees/taxes, what should I do?
We offer free shipping for all orders. However, please note that import duties, customs fees, and local taxes are not included in the product price or shipping cost.
As each country has different import regulations and tax policies, any customs duties or import taxes charged by your local customs office are the responsibility of the customer. If your shipment is selected by customs, you may receive a letter, email, or text message requesting payment before delivery can be completed.
If you have any questions regarding your shipment, please contact our support team at support@cozyglassart.com and we will be happy to assist you.
